Arrived In Madrid...

and went immediately to the Prado.

Love the Prado, but I am reserving my opinion on Madrid. It may just be that I liked Amsterdam, Paris and Barcelona so much, that Madrid is suffering by comparison. We'll see if going to a bullfight, visiting the sight of many of the horrors of the Spanish Inquisition, and another trip to the Prado can change my mind...

Your cousin Bill E-mailed me this morning, asking for the Blog address again...he said he lost it and had read your Amsterdam adventure before he did. He said he never laughed so much in his life and wants to follow the further adventures of "Innocents Abroad."
Hang in there, I am sure that Madrid will present lots of neat things.
I love you.

Amongst Madrid's weaponry are such diverse elements as fear, surprise, the Prado, ruthless (in)efficiency, an almost fanatical devotion to the Pope, bullfights, and nice red uniforms.

Can't wait to hear your take on it.

Good God, I just went back and read Eric's comment about the hash brownie! Why do I have this sinking feeling that it's going to be a long 8 years till he's 20? I also suspect, John, that you are probably now the counter culture hero of the sixth grade at Solomom Jr. High school!

-Start saving bail money now...

-Immortality is mine. I was getting tired of seeing all those Che Gevera t-shirts, anyway.

I keep seeing Mel Brooks in High Anxiety singing "the Inquisition....what a show! the Inquisition...here we go..." anyone? Okay, so I've spent way too much time watching TV...

Molly -

Yeah, I guess you do watch too much tv, but at least you´ve got good taste ("Lost" and Mel Brooks).
