Graffiti Murals In My Neighborhood

I think I would qualify those less as graffiti and more as murals. Eric has the giraffe one on his camera phone. I'd like to live in a place where the walls were covered with paintings.

I love the giraffe. Is that on the building that houses the new restaurant?
The first one is great...it is so colorful, but (I know, I'm a dummy!) wheat is it? It that a chrysanthemum in the middle?
Julie is right...murals.
Love you,
Mom

That's "what" not "wheat."

I think I like the second one the best. Very cool.

Yep - The giraffe (and the man who is remote controlling it) are from the building on the corner where the Roebling Tea Room resides.

I think the first one shows robots gathering scrap metal into a ball, which then looks like a chrysanthemum. Beauty coming from "junk" being the idea.

The reason why I refer to them as graffiti murals is that the people who paint them consider themselves graffiti artists, though yes, they shouldn't be considered in the same category as most wall scrawls. I try to take photos of any graffiti artwork I like because it doesn't always last long. One of my favorite photos is of an immense samurai that used to be in my neighborhood. Now, not only is the mural gone, but so is the building it was painted on.

The robot mural (and there's a lot more to it that what is seen here) is on the wall of the bagel place on Metropolitan and Bedford.

The Daffy Duck Devil is a screencap from the dvd. I have the ability to take "pictures" of any dvd I play on my computer. If you want, I'll send you a copy...
