40 Days of Lent: Day Twenty Six

Powerful Fresh Breath / Powerful Message

Another gift from my friend Kris - a pack of Testamints Gum. Each pack has 12 pieces (one for each apostle), although Kris admitted that this pack was a little light because her husband took some.

Each pack come with a quote from scripture on the back - mine is John 14:6 (Jesus answered "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.")

Kris said "You'd be amazed what you can find in Texas." True, however, a quick internet search revealed that the company that makes Testamints is actually based in Hackettstown, NJ.

All I can think of is that uber-religious guy we went to high school with who subsequently changed his name and how HIDEOUS his bad breath was. We had to sing with him in the school play and Kim N. and Tammy and Molly kept offering him Velamints and Trident and he'd always say no... had we only known about these, we might have saved ourselves a whole lot of olfactory distress.

Ugh...what an image.

Shame you didn't think of putting Noxema under your nostrils like in Silence of The Lambs.

Ever been to In And Out Burger in the Western U.S.? Hidden on every cup, french fry package and burger wrapper is a mysterious word followed by a series of numbers like John 6:9....my wife tells me this has some kind of religious meaning, and all this time I thought it was the FDA nutritional value written in code! Great burgers, though! Like manna from heaven!

Did the name "In and Out Burger" come from Clockwork Orange? If so, not sure I want to eat there.
